History
Md Jan Higher Secondary School has with it the rich heritage of the 77-year old educational and cultural school . Many eminent scholars were associated with this School as administrators, principals, teachers as well as students.
Calcutta Muslim High School was upgraded to Md.Jan High School and then to Md.Jan Higher Secondary School.
The Early Years
The School is affiliated to the West Bengal Board Of Secondary Education ,a year after its establishment.During the World War II(1939-1945)the school building was acquired by the State Government for the Civil Defence Purpose.When the Government handed over the property to the school authority ,Janab Sheikh Md.Jan restarted the school by the name Md.Jan High School.In 1964 Md.Jan High school was upgraded as Md.Jan Higher Secondary (Multipurpose)School with Science,Commerce and Arts stream
In the same year Mr.Akher Hussain took the charge of the school as Headmaster. Mr.S.A. Jabbar and Mr.Abdul Wahhab Became the Asstt. Headmaster of the school.
With the new pattern of the Education 10+2 introduced in yhe year 1976,the school got recognition to the [[West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Mr .Md Kafil Ahmed stood Second in the merit list of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Examination 1964 and addeda feather in the cap of Md.Jan Higher Secondary School.

Md.Jan Higher Secondary School has the distinction of being one of the best Urdu medium schools of Kolkata.

IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems - police, courts and laws - effectively protect the poor. IJM aftercare staff and trusted local aftercare partners work to ensure that victims of oppression are equipped to rebuild their lives and respond to the complex emotional and physical needs that are often the result of abuse.
IJM is presently working with the children who have been rescued from cases of human trafficking. We are seeking opportunities for their education and I am working to collect relevant information to make this possible.
